1801 Draped Bust Large Cent S-222, Very Fine, R-1 Both 1's in date are blunt and the Y in LIBERTY has a defect on the right side of the base. On the reverse, the fraction bar is too far left.This collection features over 500 Sheldon and Newcomb varieties. Ebay does not allow uncertified coins over $2500 to be listed. As a result, the 10-1793's, the 1799, 1799/8 and 1804, as well as many better varieties will not be offered until they return from the grading services in a few... weeks. The collection ishighlighted by 9 different 1793 varieties including all three major Chain Centdesigns and an amazing Cap Cent which would be the highlight of virtually anyLarge Cent collection. Also included are many of R-4 and R-5 Sheldon and Newcombnumbers.
Here in our offices wejokingly refer to this collection as "The Green Box Collection".Hardly a good "marketing name", especially for copper! However, thebox came from the one who sold the collection. Imagine the collection sitting intheir little 2x2 envelopes, residing in the green traveling case for so manyyears!
