Pre CIVIL WAR AMERICAN WALTHAM WILLIAM ELLERY KEY WIND POCKET WATCH model 1859 . Condition is Pre-owned. Shipped with USPS First Class. Up for auction is a model 1859 pre civil war Waltham William Ellery serial number 41423 estimated to have been produced in February 1861 a few months before the start of the civil war. This watch is running and ran for about 32 hours on a full wind losing about a minute and a half. The watch has been in storage for decades though and has not been servi...ced. The silver waltham hunter case has good hinges and opens and closes tight however the bezel does not stay on. Not an expert to judge if it's original case or not you'll have to decide from the pictures. There are a few small dents. The case has a very attractive dark patina . The dial features a very well preserved family portrait although it appears yellow in the pictures it also is coated with a pantina as it has been left uncleaned.
