The movement is a non-compensated lever variety with chronograph attachments; it was made in Switzerl...and in the late 19th early 20th century the markings on the slow and fast are in French due to the watch industry being in the French speaking area of Switzerland, there is also a watch making area in the German Swiss area. By the time this piece was made there were some 34, 000 out workers manufacturing various aspects of this trade, the cases were made by a different companies and then the movements were inserted by the watchmakers. The case in this instance is Swiss marked (the classical head) and the 900 is a reference to the quality of the silver, 900 parts out of 1000 alloy.
