Serial Number: 1574542. Circa: 1901.THANK YOU for considering our bright and clean, running and extra collectible condition Illinois "Sears, Roebuck & Co." model, 18 size, open face, 17 jewels, adjusted to temperature and positions, Model 6, Grade 64, huge gold jewel settings, gold mean balance screws, full nickel plate, stem wind, lever set railroad grade movement. This most excellent antique watch movement is in working order but needs a cleaning, with a dead flat and true balance wh...eel motion that has a flat and steady but weak beat. The movement is a smooth wind, starts right up, and lever sets as designed. It needs a clean, oil and adjust ("COA" in the business). Appearance-wise this Sears movement is looking top-notch, with bright, clean full nickel plates with all of the delicate original gilt inlaid engraving paint intact, clean and correct elongated "Reed" regulator needle and whip, very clean and well-maintained looking inside and out, and running but longing to rip and run better!!! The movement does show very minor and ordinary wear with no signs of abuse! It will be a great acquisition for the lucky top bidder!
