McCoy "Singing Bird" Planter, Matte White w/cold paint eye, 1940's, 7" x 6.75", USA. Excellent condition. This is the larger bird as pictured on p. 141 in HNH Vol. 1. In all matte white, the bird has one eye that still retains its black cold paint. The other eye no longer has paint. Inside is super clean, no cracks, no chips, only light crazing due to age at bottom. Interior top rim is perfect. The exterior of the bird is excellent, no ch...ips, no cracks, no crazing even under light. The mold is distinct and crisp, the bird wings and berries really stand out. There are a few very minor pin pops from McCoy manufacturing; no post production issues. Bottom is unmarked, sits very balanced. This little bird brings a smile as it always appears to be "singing".
