Private original old carte de visite (CDV) photograph of a cute little boy in a dress. Victorian girls did not usually have bangs and while both boys and girls wore dresses, you could tell them apart because boy's hair was either parted on the side or had bangs while girl's hair was almost always parted in the middle or combed back. Image is very clean with very good clarity and detail. Very littl...e overall wear; some wear to corners and edges consistent with age. Light soiling or age discoloration to mount again consistent with age. There are no tears, cuts, or creases. Photographed circa 1870's by W. Porter, Fleetwood & Blackpool, United Kingdom and measures approximately 2 1/2" by 4".
