This lovely cup and saucer were acquired in Norway in 1969 for a demitasse cup collection. The set was on display for a few years but has been stored for decades. It has never been used and is in mint condition. The cup measures 2.25" across the opening and is 2 5/8" high. The saucer measures 5" across.
The pattern by Norwegian china/porcelain manufacturer PORSGRUND is called Farmer's Rose and has the added features of a scalloped edge on the saucer and an ov...erall swirl in the china. The design includes a very unique stylized "flower" in bright colors on white china. There is a thin gold line around the rim of the cup, around the scalloped edge of the saucer, as well as on the cup handle. See photos.
