Lovely condition Smiths wooden mantel clock with westminster chime complete with key.
A little temperamantal, I Initially listed as great working order as I had it ticking away nicely for 3 days but after stopping the clock in order to take some photos for this listing, I am unable to get it to keep ticking. I had removed the pendulum prior to moving the clock but it just refuses to restart.
Clear chimes every quarter hour which can be selected off for during the night an...d the clock will continue to run. The small chime on/off lever being next to the number 9.
All wooden case with fairly rare Roman numerals, a little tired on the bezel rim but consistent with age.
All three springs are good.
The adjustable pendulum provides a means to slow down or speed up the clock to ensure good timekeeping.
