This is a nice vintage luster ware sugar bowl with lid
Blue and gold --Hand painted flowers and bird on one side and leaves on the other side
Mark on bottom is a shield with an S in the middle. Leaves around this with a tiny bow at bottom. Around this are the words "Hand Painted Made in Japan"
Stands about 2 3/8 inches without the lid and about 3 1/4 inches with the lid. ...Measures 4 inches across from handle to handle. Opening diameter measures 2 inches across
No chips, cracks or breaks. Painting in nice condition. Only problem I can see is the gold on the handles and top of lid has quite a bit of rubbing. See pictures
