For Auction is a lovely vase made by Fratelli Toso (Murano) of Italy. This piece could be called a "Ewer, Creamer, or Cabinet Vase". The Vase is a nice cabinet size as it stands 5 3/8" (188 mm) tall to the top of the handle and is 3 1/2" (88.90 mm) in diameter at its widest points. The Vase displays green, amethyst and white murrines on a clear ground with a clear applied, crimped handle. The form of the vase resembles a ewer or small bulbous pitcher ...with an elongated neck. The Vase was manipulated as a free form and not a mold blown piece as the murrines in the neck are stretched in the middle from this process. The rim of the pitcher has been flared out with an exaggerated pour spout. The ewer has a gloss finish and is really quite stunning with great contrasting colors. The Vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. There is a small Pontil Scar on the bottom. The Vase is not signed but the decoration is a well documented decor by Fratelli Toso (Murano) Italy done during the Mid Century Modern Era. More than likely this had a paper label at one time. This Italian Art Glass Vase was made Circa 1950-1959. CLICK ON THIS LINK BELOW TO SEE MY EBAY STORE CLEMENTS ANTIQUES OF NEW HAMPSHIRE STOREFRONT Please wait for my Invoice before paying.
