I've had this picture for decades, and had picked it up when I lived in Fredericksburg and worked for the photographer, Norman Dietel, who at that time owned and published the Harper, TX newspaper. The Dietel family owned and operated a weekly from the 1920s up through the 90s when it was sold. This photo has Norman's name on the back. I don't know the names of any in the pic, but the cars all have 1941 TX plates on them and plenty of deer, one of the things typical o...f the first day of the season in that area. It measures 6x9 inches and is in the condition you can see. It is printed on heavy, non glossy photo paper and has some stains and schmutz on it.
