Vintage Murano Empoli ? Italian Art Glass Apothecary Candy Jar Rigaree MCM. Condition is Used. Beautiful art glass white dish/jar with green rigaree trim and pedastal base with an interesting clear finial knob with encapsulated white color. This is not marked and I do not know the maker or origin or age but it does look like empoli or murano art glass ...but I am not an expert....The piece is approximately 7 inch tall +/- and approx. 5 1/4 ... +/- inches at widest area.The diameter of the dish opening is 3 7/8 inch +/- approximately. There are no chips/cracks or breaks noted. I believe there is a pontil mark at bottom of the pedastal base. There are air bubbles noted on the base and this can be seen in the picture. There are slight variations in the shaping of the rigaree but this is due to being hand made , This does not detract from the piece. There is a variation where the pedastal adjoins the base of the white dish. At first glance it looks like a small chip but upon close inspection it appears to be very smooth and looks like it happened when it was made and was not a perfect circle. This can be seen when the base is turned upside down but is not noticeable when it upright unless you are looking up from below and know where to look. There is a very small scattering of tiny black specks on the inside bottom of the dish. This is not very noticeable when you open the dish but I wanted to mention it. This is not a very big piece but packs a wallop in the " I like that alot department" ! !
