This beautiful handmade articulated wooden boy doll by Elisabeth Pongratz was made in c. 1990. It is new old stock, handled only by art curators and in mint condition.
His body is entirely wood and jointed at shoulders and top of legs. Hair and face are exquisitely hand painted. Clothes (smock, trousers, socks and hat) are original to the doll and hand knitted. His shoes are leather and he has his original cotton underclothes (see pictures). Never been undressed :) He is 37cm ...or 15” tall and comes with original wooden stand (pictured). A beautiful example of Pongratz’s work, suitable for a discerning collector. Reluctant sale.

Although in new condition I have listed this item as ‘used’ because it was displayed in a national exhibition of contemporary wooden toy design in 2006. This necessitated very careful unwrapping, display and packing by experienced curatorial staff.
