For sale is an Old Vintage TIMO SARPANEVA IITTALA FINLAND ORKIDEA, ORCHID # 3568 ART GLASS SCULPTURE / VASE.This is a fantastic vintage Iittala Finnish Art Glass Orkidea / Orchid Sculpture.Mid Century Modern.Clear Glass.The base is signed "Timo Sarpaneva 3568" (see photos).There is a remnant of the original iittala label at the top (see photos - it is extremely worn and mostly gone but still present).A vintage... piece - we aren't sure of its exact age.
Height: about 6 3/8 inches (about 16 cm)A heavy piece. It weighs 600 grams.A fantastic piece of Mid Century Modern iittala Art Glass!
The inside of the glass vase needs some cleaning (see photos. It looks like white staining. We haven't tried to clean it out and we don't know if it can be cleaned or not).There are some small scratches around the lower part of the vase (see photos).The base / footrim has some scratches / wear from age, use, and handling (see photos).There is some very minor wear from age and gentle handling (see photos).Otherwise, it is in Very Good Condition- there are no chips, cracks, repairs, restoration, or any other condition issues or damage.
