Original Description:
19th Century Square Form handless splint basket. Made in a medium size in a squarish form. Nice well done decorative woven splint with two rows of curled decoration. Measures 9 inches by 8 1/2 inches at the top, by 5 1/8 inches tall. My opinion is that the decorative curls suggest it was made by Native Americans in the North east. Has no known breaks, and has a great country Americana look.
