A very well made clock housed in a solid, heavy surround designed to look like a life buoy/life ring. It weighs 1/2 kg. The nice gilded dial and super quality hands sit behind a thick bevelled glass. To the rear, the adjuster, winder and setter are accessed via the sliding dust cover. As mentioned, the clock works, ticks away nicely.The dial measures 3 inch. The buoy measures 5 inch, and it stands 1 1/2 inchAs I hope the pictures show, it is in "as found" condition. The finish unpolis...hed and beautifully worn. This has me slightly stumped. I know its quality, I know its working, but just whether it is part of something bigger, or was designed as seen, I'm not sure.
