Selling is a 8” X 10 1/8” Vintage Original glossyphoto with borders of ANNE SHIRLEY, aka DAWN O’DAY, from the 1934 film, “FinishingSchool”. Very RARE close-Up of ANNE SHIRLEY at 16 years old, at the height of her career. Beginning her career as a child actress under thename Dawn O'Day, Shirley adopted the name of the character she played in Anneof Green Gables in 1934, and achieved a successful career in supporting roles. Sheretired from films in 1944, ...at the age of 26. She has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She died in 1993, at the age of 75. She is highly sought after in her early yearsand most collectible. On the back of the photo, handwritten lightly inpencil is “Anne Shirley”Photo is in VERY GOOD Condition with very minimal handling wear. There is a very small chip in the left side border.
