Although the bank manager and femaletellers agree not to interfere with the robbery, Sonny finds that there'sactually nothing much to steal, as most of the cash has been picked up for theday.  Sonnythen gets an unexpected phone call from Police Captain Moretti, who tells himthe place is surrounded by the city's entire police force. Having few optionsunder the circumstances, Sonny nervously bargains with Moretti, demanding safeescort to the airport and a plane out of the country in return for the bankemployees' safety... How OurPosters Are Graded: All images of theposters are of the actual poster for sale so what you see is what you get, wedo not use stock photos. Very Fine: AlmostMint: Unused with no flaws. Fine:  Generally unused with the original folds orrolled. ModernAmerican posters are now also 27” x 40” but modern posters can also vary by ½”to 1” dependent on the printer used.  Australian printerswere under licence to produce the posters as they saw fit for Australianaudiences and many artists did different variations to the American one-sheets.The artists wouldgenerally use US poster art or press book images for their inspiration and theywould either trace or use their own imagination or a combination of both tocome up with a new design for the poster. Many vintageone-sheet posters were usually produced using the stone litho process whichproduced rich deep colours but were only printed in limited quantities. It isbelieved that as few as 200 one sheets were printed for films up to 1950. Thisexplains the rarity of the Australian one sheet movie posters.  The Australianone-sheet movie posters used to be issued folded but now most modern postersare issued rolled and many come directly from the distributors in America asthe American one-sheets are also now 27” 40” but can vary slightly in lengthsize dependent on the distributor and printer used. Many are now alsodouble-sided for use in light boxes. More aboutAustralian Movie Posters: The hand litho process was usually utilizedfor Australian daybill posters resulting in a rich texture of artwork withsubtle toning that was often unique to Australia.   Theartists would generally use US poster art or press book images for theirinspiration and they would either trace or use their own imagination or acombination of both to come up with a design for the poster. The daybill sizesvaried considerably from 13" x 30" from the 40s to the mid-60s to13" x 26" in the 80s. The Australian one-sheets were normally 27” x40” as compared to the US 27” x 41” one-sheets. Certainfirms seem to predominate during certain periods, such as W.E. Smith of Sydneyduring the 1940s and 1950s. Several other printers like F. Cunninghame &Co. Pty. Ltd. (litho) Sydney, Royelltone Prints Pty. Ltd., and Simmons Ltd.printed older posters but W.E. Smith and Robert Burton produced most.  Duringthe 70s M.A.P.S started producing movie posters and there is an overlap whereboth Robert Burton and M.A.P.S printed some of the same original posters. Otherprinters like Brown Prior Anderson in Burwood, Victoria, Australia, alsoprinted some of the B grade and R rated Australian posters and, some of thefilm distributors like Roadshow produced their own posters. Itis important to note that daybills for the original release of a film oftenincluded a lesser duotone and black and white style. In many cases these aremistakenly referred to as copies or later reissues but they were generallyreleased at the same time the full colour versions were issued so are alsooriginals.  CombinedPostage Information:Wewill combine any auction or fixed price posters to save you on postage.
