Serial number dates this to approx. 1922. Movement is signed Elgin National Watch Co., U.S.A., adjusted, 17 jewels. Wadsworth 25 year case, no. 6601841, has hinged back and opens with knife. Both bezel and back snap closed properly. Mint looking case, dial, hands, crystal (plastic). Winds and sets easily. Diagonal approximate measurements are: case excluding bow assembly is 44 mm; dial 40 mm; back of movement measured while in case 37 mm. Has been in stor...age for years but started right up when wound and has run accurately for the past couple of days. Tag says case is gold filled but I do not see that marking on the case itself. A beautiful vintage pocket watch.
