The 2003 Madonna / Steven Klein limited bookX-STATIC PROCESS.Limited to 1.000 copies worldwide, one ofthe most collectible Madonna items.Back in 2003, Madonna performed at Tower records and did a rarr in-store signing to promote 'American Life'.People waited outside two days before the event and the first 300 lucky fans would meet the queen M. and get one item signed by her.With no explanation, the signing processwas cut short and some of the fans didn't g...etthe chance for the meet & greet signing.Madonna's team got the info of the unlucky fansand later they got the X-Static Process book inthe mail, signed individually with the name of the fan and then 'love Madonna' in gold pen.It was sent it by Boy Toy inc and the bookcame without the dust jacket.There's always been debate about the signaturewith many people claiming it was Caresse Henry (which was part of Madonna'smanagement team at the time) that signedthe books with the gold pen.We never got an official response, but nonethelessthe book is extremely rare and a real treasureamong fans and art collectors:''LIMITED EDITION of 1, 000 copies. This extremely rare title originates from a lengthy photo-shoot by Steven Klein of Madonna for the production of a video/pictorial collaboration. This hand bound production is printed on extremely thin paper (onion skin) that deteriorates as it is used.Photography by Steven Klein''.The book in this listing is signed'To John, Love Madonna' in thick gold pen.and it comes with the original envelope that was sent with the Boy Toy sender mailing label.It is in Mint condition, kept in the plastic wrap (the dust jacket was never sent).Because of the signature controversy it is pricedas a non-signed book. It's up to the buyer to determine whether they believe it's Madonna's or Caresse's signature.No matter, the book is Mint, has the Boy Toy mailerand it's a treasure itself.
