This programme design was used for two different concerts, but the ticket verifies that this program came from the Odeon Romford show, not the Odeon Guildford show five days later. This is significant as the Romford concert was the last of the Merseybeat Showcase series. More importantly, it marked the first time in pop music history that a concerts three main artists, The Beatles, Billy J. Kramer and The Dakotas, and Gerry and The Pacemakers, held the numbers 1, 2, and 3 ...positions in that weeks record chart! It is very doubtful that this record will ever be broken. Mark Lewisohn is to be credited for providing this information. The tape holding the ticket to the program dried up years ago and so I put the ticket in a holder. Only the dried residue remains on the program and ticket.
