Up for sale is a vintage 1964 BEATLES Flip Your Wig Boardgame.This Fab Four merchandise tie-in features a photo of George, Ringo, Paul, and John on the front, along with an image of a spinning mod wig. This game from Milton Bradley includes a game board and Beatles game pieces. The game is played by 2, 3, or 4 players who each select a different Beatle as mover. The object of this game is to advance along the board collecting Beatles-themed cards by rolling dice to move your "B...eatle" (John, Paul, George, or Ringo) to a new space which may instruct the player to draw one of two different types of cards, steal a card from one or more other players, or lose a card. Play continues until one player wins the game by collecting the four cards corresponding to the "Beatle" that they are playing. i.e. John needs to collect a John picture card, a John signature card, a John's Guitar card, and a hit record card. The contents of the box are complete, to include the cardboard support structures to keep the parts separated and supported . . . if you are a keen observer you will note the Beatles portrait on the inside main support structure is a same photo of the Beatles as is on the box lid . . . BUT THE PHOTO IS FLIPPED! Game parts are clean and complete with the game board, 4 players and their stands, 2 die, 24 yellow cards, and 24 red cards. Of the 48 cards there are three of each Beatle's face, facsimile autograph, instrument and 12 hit record cards. Some of the cards have light creases. Game box size approx: 19" by 9 ½" by 1 ¾". It shows quite a bit of wear . . . .one apron (side) is missing a section, cardboard splits, some scotched taped - some not, staining and previous owner's name label."The Beatles" Flip Your Wig Board Game by Milton Bradley, has a copyright of 1964 Nems Enterprises Ltd. and is endorsed by The Beatles. To sum up: - the game consists of the following: the main game board; dice; Beatles face cards; Beatles instrument cards; Beatles signature cards; hit record cards; and mover pieces – one for each Beatle. The game instructions are printed on the inside support tray. Originally, the outer box was not poly-wrapped with accounts for some of its wear and tear. This classic piece of British entertainment would make an excellent addition to the collection of any Beatles fan.
