This is a VERY SCARCE LARGE SIZE HIGH GRADE PMG CERTIFIED 19th Century Currency Banknote from the Italian States in Italy. This Bank Note was issued by the Banca Pontifica Per Le 4 Legazioni di Bologna for 10 Scudi in 1855. This Note has 2 Vignettes of Women’s Heads surrounded by allegorical figures in the background on the obverse.
This Banknote was OVERPRINTED “PAYABLE IN BOLO...GNA” on an earlier Banca Dello Stato Pontifica of 1853 Banknote.
This Banknote is Catalogued as Pick-S671r. The Note has three small spindle holes at the left and a clipped corner in the Counterfoil otherwise the Note is unaffected and grades in PMG 58 CHOICE ALMOST UNCIRCULATED Condition.
