Antique European traveling writing desk, oak wood construction box with letter separator and metal pen rests and metal paper holders for each end. Extending leaf for writing surface. Shield shape decoration on the cover probably silver plate, with a crest key hole.
This piece is in great antique shape considering age only normal signs of wear with minimal rub off. The original key is missing and the lock catch on top, but the mechanism is present. ... Glass ink well is an added piece for display - I do not believe it is original. There is one fountain pen made by Eagle Pencil Company New York U.S.A. - not sure this is original or another added piece. Two Victorian post-cards are also included one is dated from Dec. 25, 1904, so sweet.
