Here is an antique double pan balance or scale. It is has both pans. The scale is marked with the Detecto company. The double pans have been cleaned and are steel colored. The pink tint is a reflection from my pink walls. The scale is 23 inches across and 7 inches tall. The cast iron base is marked Detecto scales on one side and New York, NY USA on the other. In the front it is marked No 1 and Cap 76 LBS or 8KG. The scale has a brass front bar ...and its weight. The scale works and is in good condition. Under the base it reads Jacob Bros New York. The balance itself weighs 19 pounds. This would be great displayed. You are buying this in AS IS antique noted condition. All glass and breakable items are bubble wrapped and packed in Styrofoam noodles for shipment.
