This is a very detailed large necklace, dating from the mid 1800s. This necklace is incredible and filled with such amazing design and natural elements... This necklace is completely original with no replacements. The links that compose the chain alternate in a repeated pattern. They are all adorned with natural turquoise in bezel settings. The back of each link features the lovely Austro-hungarian closed back design. Sometimes I think the back is more striking than the front, but not ...in this case. The links are adjoined with jump rings which are not soldiered. It is fitted with a concealed box clasp. The clasp bears the hallmarks early Austria-Hungaria along with the makers hallmark of BN. The center of this amazing necklace is a rather large piece which is adorned with natural turquoise and seed pearls. The pearls are strung and affixed to the base with wire. One tiny fray which can be easily remedied with wire and two seed pearls. The necklace is silver (800) with a gold gilt. The gold is very present with very little wear to the front. There is a bit more wear to the back to the gilt, simply from use. One link is missing a tiny accent turquoise which is only noticeable, if looking for it. It is located on the 4 link up from the center on the left side. Other than that this necklace is in incredibly good condition.
