Here's a classic 1963 vintage solid 18k gold Omega Constellation 24 jewel chronometer automatic with beautiful original "Pie Pan" dial! The Omega "Pie-Pan" Constellation has one of the most classic dial designs of all time, and the high-grade 24 jewel calibre 561 quintuple-adjusted chronometer automatic movement is recognized as one of the finest automatic chronometer movements ever made! Here's the details on this collectible classic: OMEGA (18k "Pie-Pan" Constellati...on Chronometer Automatic) - Excellent signed 34mm solid 18k gold screwback case with crisp "Observatory" logo on the caseback, signed 24 jewel calibre 561 chronometer automatic movement (#2034044xx), adjusted to 5 positions and temperature, excellent signed original gold satin "pie-pan" dial with raised gold and black markers, raised gold Omega logo and marque at 12:00 and Constellation "star" at 6:00, gold dauphine hands and sweep seconds, signed original crown, generic 22k gold plated adjustable aftermarket bracelet. The serial number on the movement places the date of production of this watch at 1963. The solid 18k gold screwdown caseback is marked with reference 168004/14 SC-62 on the inner caseback, and the case is in excellent condition, with the stars on the 18k "Observatory" logo on the caseback shining brightly! The classic calibre 561 chronometer automatic movement is adjusted to 5 positions and temperature, and is clean and running fine and keeping excellent time. The calibre 561 is featured in Anton Kreuzer's reference book "Omega Designs" (see pp. 180-181) and is regarded as one of the finest chronometer automatic movements ever produced. The classic "pie-pan" silver satin dial is original in excellent condition, and is signed, "Omega, Automatic, Chronometer, Officially Certified, Constellation, Swiss Made." The crown is signed and original. The acrylic crystal shows considerable minor scratching, which is probably buffalo, but may justify replacement. This classic chronometer automatic is quadruple-signed Omega (case, crown, dial and movement). Vintage "Pie-Pans" are getting harder and harder to find, especially with original dials in such superb condition, and this piece is solid 18k gold as well.
