Up for auction is a CD that is byThe Pete Best Band, and is also signed by Pete Best. I bought this CD new when it wasreleased, and I have only played it once. The CD was released in 1999 by PEBESplash Records. The CD is a 40th anniversary limited editionrelease. The CD is in a jewel case along witha 4 page fold open booklet / insert. The jewel case slides into a paperslipcase. The item altogether is in near mint condition. It has been opened andplayed once. On the top ...left corner of the slipcase, there is a 0.5” bend/foldwhich was caused by me as I was putting the CD in my display case, (I’ve triedtaking photos). Other than that, there are no other marks or scratches on theslipcase, jewel case, insert, or CD. Practically, it’s still new. On the back of the slipcase there are 4 white stickers. These stickers were already on the CD when I bought it. I met Pete at the Ontario convention I attended. He performedonstage and also did a Q&A with the audience. Later, he was at tablewhere he was selling his CD’s and signing autographs. It was during this time when Ihad him sign this CD; I had him sign the insert instead of the slipcase. Unfortunately, I can not remember what year it was that I met Pete.
As a Beatles fan, Iattended Beatle conventions for many years. The ones I attended most often wereBeatleFest (now The Fest For Beatle Fans) in Chicago; BeatleCon in Detroit; andBeatleRama in Ontario; and once at BeatleBlitz in Kansas City. I would getautographs from the guests at these conventions.
I am selling my entirecollection of signed Beatle related items such as books, CD’s, photos, andmore. I recently became disabled from an accident, and I can no longer maintainthe upkeep of displaying them and taking them to Beatle related functions. I donot have COA’s for my signed items. I did not buy my items to have them signed, get a COA, and then sell them. I am not a dealer, I am a fan. I bought my itemsto have them signed by guests that appear at conventions, so that I can displayand show others. I never had the intention of selling any of them, butcircumstances have changed for me, and now I must. I may not always rememberwhat year or which convention I got the autographs at, but I always will tellof how I got it.
