"THE JAM" A HISTORY PART 1
In 1986 Canadian artist Michael Keirstead created “The Jam Part I - A History” to illustrate “the musical influences that shaped the evolution of Rock music.”.
The Canadian artist used a pen and ink stipple technique, called pointillism to create this fantastic piece filled with Rock & Roll Hall of Famers (114) from the 1950s through the 1970s
Stipple is when small dots, rather than lines or strok...es, are grouped together to create shading and form. The farther apart the dots are, the lighter the tones; the closer together the dots are, the darker the tones. The technique allows drawings of an almost photographic quality to be executed. This piece took the artist 5 years to create and features 113 separately drawn classic rock portraits.
Also included is the "cheat sheet" showing names and location of each artist on this great poster.
Approx 19" x 40" shipped rolled in a triangle priority mail box
Poster may have a few small tears on edges but do not extend into the picture.
