Circa 1890's to early 1900's battleship covered dish, possibly made by Flaccus. Was used as a packing container for condiments. Covered dish is 4 1/2" tall to the top of the stacks. The lid is 2 1/2" tall and is 6 3/4" long by 3 1/4" wide. Base is 2 1/4" tall, top opening is 7 3/8" long by 3 7/8" wide with the bottom being 7 5/8" long by 2 7/8" wide. Piece is crisp and well embossed throughout. Overall excellent condition with the usual bubbles, stra...w marks, and base wear. The lid and base have the typical annealing or cooling lines on the edges. The lid has nicks along the edges and the base has a few small nicks where the lid rests. The base has a chip on the stern or rear of the ship. Buyer pays P/S/I. Insurance for up to $50 is included in the shipping price for US buyers only and for Priority Mail only.
