Every different color or shade on this piece is a different piece of wood! No staining!
This Amazing piece is made up of Many Hundreds perhaps over a thousand different inlaid pieces of wood all meticulously cut and placed to make this puzzle like piece of art. It is Truly incredible!
The amount of Time, Effort and Concentration it must ha...ve taken to make this using the Rudimentary tools of the time is quite remarkable.
I wish I could post more than 12 photos
There are some flaws, but considering the age and the fragile delicate detail it is a real survivor! There was an eye screw put into at one point to hang it.
The only provenance I have was the word of the elderly gentleman I acquired it from speaking of it passing through the generations of his family
Measures 13" tall and 11" wide about 1" thick
One of a Kind !!!! Obviously must be sold "as is"
