For sale is an antique Schafer and Vater Porcelain Creamer of an Oriental - Chinese Man in a kneeling / squatting position holding an Upside Down Umbrella - in his left hand and holding a flowered pitcher in the right. This has been in the same family for decades. There are several maker's marks stamped into the porcelain on the bottom, looks like 6828, 84 or 89, and something that looks loosely like a pineapple, as well as the number 16 written on it. This piece is 5" tall and in pret...ty good condition given its age, with only two very tiny chips, one on the umbrella "tip" and one on the pitcher in his hand. Colors are solid but soft/muted in tone. Please see pictures for details and condition.
