Up for auction is a sterling silver souvenir spoon from Tonopah, Nevada with a finely engraved image of the buildings along Tonopah's main street and Mount Butler looming in the background in its gilt bowl, together with the words "Main Street & Mt. Butler Tonopah Nev." The engraving is a miniature masterpiece, with the American flag flying over one of the buildings. The handle itself has an image of an exceedingly grim miner and the tools of his trade. Dates from around 19...10, about 4 1/8 inches long, 0.5 ounces, 14 grams, stamped "sterling" on the back of the handle but not bearing a hallmark. In excellent vintage condition, noparticular defects to note which are not shown in the photos.
