1959 #1 VINTAGE ORIGINAL PONYTAIL BARBIE . My mother has decided to part with her childhood Barbie. She is in good vintage condition; this auction is for the doll only- no earrings or swimsuit. She has no green around her earring holes. The bottom of her right foot says 'JAPAN' and both feet have holes. No printing on the back of the neck. The only flaws are a small tear where the head meets the neck (see pictures) and some dirt/grime on her bod...y. No pen marks or anything that appears to be permanent. No touchups or alterations. Guaranteed authentic- my mother played with her for a few years during her preteen days and then she sat in her red metal wardrobe box for 60 years. She held onto her for all these years first because she loved her so much and then because she became aware that these Barbies were becoming valuable collectors items. She has decided that she is ready to finally sell her; we are not Barbie experts at all but i can guarantee you that this doll has not been manipulated.
