18” ItaloCremona Cristina Christina Doll Orig Clothes 5 Outfits 1960s MOD RARE

Up for auction is a lovely vintage Italocremona Cristina doll, that was released in the 1960s. This is such as beautiful doll and she comes with several original outfits. She came to me with the outfits you see pictured and has been part of my personal collection for several years. When I got her, the doll had gummy glue in her bangs. I have had several Italian dolls with the same issue--it seems that Italian doll makers such as Italocremona and Furga sometimes used some type of adhesi...ve to keep the dolls' bangs in place and, over time, the glue became gummy. I loved the doll and her lovely wardrobe but was unsure of how to rectify the problem. I eventually settled on the idea of using Twin Pines special laundry detergent for doll clothing, that is very gentle and does no harm to even the most fragile fabrics. I love this stuff and have found it incredibly effective (if quite expensive). I put the doll's face in the laundry detergent solution (just the forehead, of course, avoiding getting water in the eyes) for as long as it took to loosen the glue, which I was able to painstakingly pull from her hair. This worked very well and the doll's hair is just lovely now. However, there is still a bit of glue residue on her forehead, as can be seen in the last picture. I think that this should be removable but I will leave that to the new owner. The doll is lovely as she is--the residue is not noticeable and, in fact, cannot be seen at all unless you lift her bangs/fringe.
The doll in excellent condition. She has amazing full platinum blonde hair and the lovely coloring characteristic of Italian dolls, with a nice blush to her cheeks--no fading of her color that I noticed and not much in the way of scuffs either. She has sleep eyes that work perfectly. I noticed in the pictures that her eyelashes are not quite symmetrical--something that I had not noticed before. I have researched online and found that this is characteristic of the Cristina dolls--the span of eyelashes is typically wider on one side than the other. The doll is NOT missing any eyelashes, as can be seen in the last pic. The doll is used and not perfect, but she does not have noticeable marks or damage. She is in really remarkable shape for her age:)
This doll is lovely on her own but she also comes with a beautiful set of original clothing. I have found pictures of her wearing most of the clothes that are included in this auction and I am sure that they were all hers originally. They are in decent shape for the most part. The white go go boots and lavender coat and boots are made of leatherette (?) material that has a vinyl coating that is crumbling with age on the outside, as can be seen in the pictures, which is inevitable with such things. Other items look good but some of the pieces are soiled here and there and some buttons are coming loose. I did not launder them. The doll comes with the following:- White and green dress with matching pink, black, and green tweed jacket. The jacket is lined. Some of the buttons are loose.
- White lame mini-dress with silver threads and a silver belt. The dress has some yellowing, as can be seen in the pictures. This dress comes with silver go go boots that have a coating that is cracked/crumbling in places.- Black fishnet stockings, which I believe go with the white and silver mini-dress, but I did not realize this until after I took the pictures. The stockings are in good condition.
- Multi-colored mini-dress with a matching headband.- Lavender coat that is lined and has matching lavender boots. Some of the buttons are loose on the jacket and both items are losing their vinyl coating in places.- Yellow nylon blouse with black vinyl belt.- Striped tweed pants.- 2 pairs of white/off-white socks.
- Black shoes
- A single brown hanger
