Lovely vintage linen and hemp sack from Provence.
Wonderful yolked/pleated back where it would have been hung. My guess it was used for olives.
Two Soft blue horizontal stripes. Lovely cream color. Heavy and a bit stiff as I hang everything to dry a tumble in the dryer would soften it.Wonderfully hand sewn with charming patches here and there. Please see photos for additional details.
In good vintage condition with a few stain/ marks and holes as one may expect ...from age and use.Approximate measurements lying flat. 18" X 57"
Very heavy over 1.5 LBS!
Would be wonderful used as is on a bed, sofa or for a laundry bag. Or repurposed for pillows or other rustic projects.
I do my best to accurately describe condition and point out major flaws, but condition is seldom perfect as one would expect from a 100 year old textile. Small marks and flaws should be expected. The timeworn look and signs of their unique history is part of what makes them so charming and special!
