Vintage " Steiff " Mecki Hedgehog Doll 7 " Alpine Clothes Pre - War Germany W/ Pipe

Rare early 7" Mecki Hedgehog discovered while emptying dad's work room. I'm not an expert on Steiff but can pretty accurately date this little fellow. Either belonged to dad or mom, German or Dutch, circa 1926-1938 (they were born 1930, 1934). He is dressed in alpine-style clothing found in Bavaria or Austria.
After 1952, most Steiff had plastic faces. The earliest Steiff were all cloth/wool felt with a stitched seam down the face and hand-painted features. This little guy is i...n amazing condition for his age. No tag. Odor-free. Pls. see my other listings for more vintage dolls.
