This auction is for a 1962 Madame Alexander bend knee walker Little Bo Peep doll that is good condition. When you move her head from side to side her legs walk . Her arms are still nicely strung and hold a pose. The hard plastic body of the doll is in very good condition with no splits, cracks, or stains. She has beautiful dark sleep eyes that move freely, lightly blushed cheeks, and perfect ruby red lips. Bo Peep's blond wig is styled in ...its original curled coiffure with no missing strands, etc. Topping her pretty head is her original straw hat is accented with multiple flowers and a green bow.
Bo Peep has a little lamb attached with a green cord that matches the ties in the vest. The little lamb does have some paint rubs but is in otherwise good condition.
This beautiful doll wears her original, starchy, tagged dress with flower printed side panniers. The dress is in very good condition with no holes or tears. The sheer sleeves of the dress have discolored with age. Over the bodice of the dress is a little black suede vest that has a worn area on the front left. Under the beautiful gown, Bo Peep wears a full cotton slip and pantaloons. Both the slip and the pantaloons still have tight waist elastic and are in good condition with the exception of age discoloration and a few little spots at the back waist of the pantaloons that may be from the metal stand. Bo Peep also wears her original black suede shoes and socks.
This sweet doll does come with a stand but she does not have a MA box.
