This auction is for a great looking fish decoy that is referred to as a Mikko. These were made beginning in the 1980s and were artificially aged to appear much older. They have always been very popular with decorators and now have gotten old enough to really appeal to collectors. This colorful 7" sunfish is one of the older Mikkos from the 80s so it is now around 35-40 years old. It has carved gills and a carved mouth with excellent personality. This decoy was completely hand made and ...hand painted.
