Very nice 1940's Fenton Art Glass powder jar with original lid in the melon pattern. Officially it is rose overlay but nearly everyone calls it 'pink' and it is 5 1/2 at the widest across x 5 1/2" tall with the lid. There is no damage to the jar part but the lid either received a knock that managed to cause an internal fissure or it came off the production line with it because back in the day, Fenton did not sell 'seconds' and a lot of times, less than perfect items were so...ld There's a very small knick on the underside of the lid which doesn't seem deep/big enough to have caused the internal crack. I had a dickens of a time trying to get a picture that would reveal it. On the opposite side of the lid rim, there is a ding on the rim, please see the 6th pic, no other issues.
