This helmet is in pretty good condition. It has a couple minor things to mention. The leather straps are starting to dry out and flake, and the vinyl trim around the bottom is starting to come unglued. You can fix that easy with waterproof glue (Goop Marine Brand). Other than that, a nice helmet from 1983, in really great color. LOUD RED.Helmet has a couple small chips and scuffs, but displays well with its bright color. The padding inside is usable, and still has some cushion to it, b...ut, it’s from 1983. No odors, and pretty clean. The face shield is still very clear, and has maybe 1 scratch that isn’t even a scratch. It’s more like a scuff that’s not too noticeable. A really cool, fast look to it. Glue down the trim and your golden. Looks good!
