This is a beautiful and rare antique bronze medal of the Portuguese Navigator Infante Dom Henrique,  that began and was the big starter of Portuguese maritime discoveries. He founded, in the promontory of Sagres (algarve) a navigation school and an astronomical observatory. Lived from 1394-1460.The medal as 7x7 cm (2.75 inches). Weighs 188 grams (6.63 oz). The main side presentes a figure in high relief of the bust of Dom Henrique.
