please view our other auctions...VINTAGE1950’s DOLL travel doll trunk or case (+ clothes, some accessories) with printed/painted travel type “stickers!” (TWA Constellation; UnionPacific Railroad, New York Central Station.”Case is about 16 “ by 7 by 8” in size.Outside: has decorative brass colored metal corners, hinges andmetal fastener which flips open and closes well plus 2 side fasteners too- so 3in all in the front to keep it securely fastened. The texture on case ...has aslightly raised feel. Inside:is like a wallpaper lining in a beige tiny scale herringbone pattern. Has acardboard accessory “drawer” and metal loop for hangers to hang form plus redstraps on open side to tie contents into that side.Clothing: · the nicest piece ifthe pink binding edge floral w/ quilted patternaqua robe. It is 13” from shoulder to hem edge-with matching belt, tie at neck, ruffles at wrists, no tag· strawhats, 3 stamped Japan· bathingsuit or romper, yellowed, worn elasticat leg holes· standing collarwhite snap satiny blouse, 6 ¾”from shoulder to edge of hem· 2 diffsized red felt skirts with white appliquefelt circles w/sequins-likely handmade· Blue and green long sleeveless gowns-2 snaps in back of each-wrinkly-lightly yellowed-green maybe commercially made and blue homemade but I truly can’t exactly tell-assumehandmade for most/all of these items since no tags!· Redcorduroy close fitting pants withcenter seam/ accent ridge-white painted snap at back waist. (10 5/8 from waistto hem edge)· White blouse + off whiteblouse not in picture-handmade.· Plastic hangers, variety of sizes.· Black and brownoxford leatherette type shoes-bent and cracked-2 5/8” soles.CONDITION: Casemoderate wear, esp., along corners, edges worn to show white scraped and nickedareas. Fastener works well, sturdy but the metal is worn on all components.Inside pretty nice, smooth, lightly yellowed from age, a few long “blisters” wrinklesin the surface of the lining paper. Variety of vintage clothing in used, vintagecondition some may be commercially made, most likely handmade. No unpleasantodors though it does have that stored in the attic-aged smell-or smell ofsmoke, nonsmoking home. Shoe material is worn. Please view all pics in closeup for further information.
