This watch was made by the Illinois Watch Company, Springfield, Illinois. It likely dates to the late 1800s.
I'm not a watch expert, but by my assessment this watch is in very good condition. The case is solid nickel (stamped FAHYS ORESILVER). The enameled dial is in excellent condition, no scratches, cracks, or other damage. All the numerals are quite clear. The hands both retain their original blueing. The case glass is very thick beveled glass, which gives this watch a very rich look. The glass has a minor fleabite chip, which is circled red in the picture that shows it, but this is on the side of the glass touching the case, not on the external beveled edge.
The case has normal scratches from wear, though the nickel case can be polished professionally to remove these. The back of the case is engraved with a message:
