This is vintage Strawberry Shortcake c. 1980s, Blueberry Muffin Sweet Sleeper, loose doll and pet. For this doll, the outfit is correct, but has replacement bands in hair. Doll's eyes open and close properly. She comes with pet and an original sleeping bag that has had the torn lining removed. Dollis a played with vintage toy which has been cleaned and refurbished with reintroduced scent- READ ALL. If you do not want the doll re-scented you can message me at time of purc...hase. I have chosen a sweet blueberry smell for her that smells really yummy. I amobsessed with these dolls from my childhood. I buy and resell them in order tosave these dolls for future generations. There are just no contemporary dollsthat compare! Most of the dolls that I buy need TLC. I clean them, wash theclothes, shoes and pets. I check for VD spots and try to put each doll backclosest to original specs whenever I can. Please expect some amount of wear.With that said, I spend a lot of time cleaning dolls and clothes to put setsback together. I throw out anything that has vinyl deterioration on the faces.I do not always throw out a body or head that has a contained spot in a hiddenarea (legs, under the hair, feet). The vinyl deterioration is not contagiousand will not spread as long as the dolls are stored properly- ventilated whenin high humidity environments or stored with desiccant. I throw out clothesthat are really stained or ripped. Each doll may have minor variations, colordiscolorations, marks or factory production defects that I cannot control. Ifthe doll is listed then I feel that it is a good loose specimen, appropriatefor any collection or for play. Dirty lots of dolls, clothes, pets and shoesare now selling for outrageous prices, therefore my prices have gone up tocover my costs and make a small profit. It is not fun to open your newlypurchased doll and have an hour of cleaning to do! If you buy an uncleaned doll, you will recognizethe difference. NOTE: I will now be offering somedolls with scent reintroduced during the refurbishment process. I havewatched several videos about this where the recommendation has been to add thescent inside the head, but I have been doing this a long time and my concern isthat the oils will not have ventilation and cause VD problems later. So, Ihave decided to add essential oils directly to the head and hair on theoutside. So far, this method seems promising. The scent is differentcertainly from how it was originally, but does give it a little whiff of thememory. Please be advised that I am using either theraputic gradeessential oils or candle scents, but that does not mean it should be ingestedor overly handled (the essential oils). I DO NOT recommend the re-scenteddolls for children for play as contact with hands can be absorbed. So, usecaution and wash hands after touching the hair. I will still continue tooffer unscented dolls as well if you are sensitive to strong smells. Thereintroduced scent doesn't last forever, but it's nice when you open the box.Just an FYI for if you are looking for the original dolls that still havescent... It's a catch 22. I consider myself an expert in SS. I've seen it all.And MOST of the dolls that still have scent after all of these years have itbecause they were stored improperly either in a sealed baggie or in humidenvironments. This is BAD for SS because it is generally how the VD starts (youcan also read about that in many of my listings if you don't already know aboutit). I am one of the few specialty SS sellers on eBay that actually washes thedolls and clothes (so they do not still have that sticky feel that is the oldscent). So, you may ask another seller if a doll still has scent and they willsay "yeah, sure", but they won't additionally tell you if the dollhas VD spots (which it likely will if it still has the scent). So, just makesure to ask that question also and check the heads of the dolls that still havescent, they most likely have a spot or two of VD! Realistic Customer Expectations= Customer Satisfaction...I am a junk dealer, not a chain retailer. Most of the items that I sell arevintage, used and loved- they are RARELY going to be perfect. You may considersomething a problem that I have not even considered as a defect. So, please askall pertinent questions prior to buying, read ALL of the descriptions andconditions and be sure to look at all of the photos. I strive to take highquality pictures from all sides of the item which is the BEST description ofany item and I do my best to highlight any notable defects.
