A 'pair' of antique 9 carat gold brooch, set with natural shell cameos - each finely hand carved to depict scenes involving Eros, Aphrodite, Ares & Hermes. One scene is Hermes Giving The Infant Dionysos to a Nymph (of Mysa)*. Extremely collectible & so wearable!

Some detail wear & mount denting commensurate with age and use.DATE/MARKS: Around 1820/30. Marked '9ct'.DIMENSIONS: Around 29 x 24 mm each (1 inch = 25.4 mm).
