Beautiful early Georgian ring set with a natural ruby surmounted by rose cut diamonds, set in rose gold with silver accents. The open backs may have been done later as tastes changed in the 19th century and many pieces were altered to reflect this. I tested the gold with 10k and 14k acid, it holds with both although it's strongest with the 10k. Ring size is 6.5. The box is not included. In overall very good antique condition, has wear commensurate with age, when viewed under a 60x loup...e I can see scratches and inclusions in the ruby.
