Vintage American Character Cricket Doll W/ " MAD MUSIC " OUTFIT 14107 Plus

Vintage American Character Cricket DollSince thereare no markings on this doll the seller has identified it via internet researchto be an American Character Cricket doll.  She is a blonde doll her torso color isslightly lighter than her arms and legs since the arms and legs are made from adifferent material than the torso.  The information found at Tressydoll.comis somewhat confusing.  It describes thefirst version of Cricket as having brown eyes looking to the right, ye...t theaccompanying photo shows the eyes looking to the doll’s left.  It further describes the second version ashaving turquoise eyes looking slightly to the left, and the third versionlooking just to the left. Yet the photos for both show the eyes looking to theright.  This doll up for auction islooking about as far to the right as can be and has white dots (not centered)in the iris just to the doll’s left of each pupil.The thirdversion is described as having “posable” legs as opposed to straight legs inthe case of the first and second version. This doll has legs that can be bent very slightly at the knees; soslightly that they may not have been intended to bend it is just that they aremade from softer material than the torso. Whether or not that constitutes posable is questionable.Seller isattempting to provide as much information as possible to allow buyers toaccurately determine the correct issue of this doll.She is inexceptional condition and has no cuts, scrapes or any other defects.  The legs have a light “patina” of grime frombeing handled by a little girl 50 odd years ago.Cricketcomes with the following clothing:  heroriginal tutu, her Mad Music Doll Outfit (#14107) from 1965 including the radio, amedium blue dress with white trim (Sweet Treat Dress) a dark blue feltdress.  The blue dress with white trimhas a label attached that reads “Cricket T.M. Hong Kong”.  The dark blue dress has a label that reads“Hong Kong” with no mention of Cricket. Seller assumes that given the same country of manufacture, the dark bluedress is a Cricket dress.  Tressydoll.comstates that Cricket originally came with her tutu and white shoes.  Seller has included one pair of white shoes, one pair of ballet slippers.Her originalstand is also included.
