I don’tneed it for balance, I need it for dogs. It doesn’t happen very often, but moretimes than I can count over the years, a dog will get loose from his fenced inyard and come tearing after me, protecting his territory. And their owners... all seem to say the samething, “Oh, he’s friendly, he won’t bite.” as the dog is closing the distance fast with teethbared and a mean snarl. Even though I love dogs I don’t trust the owners words or theirdogs, but I do trust my walking stick, and when the dog sees it, they never get closeenough for me to use it and we always go our separate ways without sheddingblood. But just to ease your mind, this Mad Dog Teapot is friendly, he won't bite. This piece is 10-1/2 inches tall, the chain is metal. Thanks for looking, Mitchell. Facebook - GraftonPottery
