Original Description:

Please email with any questions. Antique 8 1/2" diameter majolica plate with an Art Nouveau strawberry border. The manufacturer's stamp is "VBS" inside of an octagon. I think this is the factory mark for Villeroy & Boch at Saar-Basin. There are surface scratches on the glaze and a crack line on the back. I count seven glaze flakes on the rim. Not the best condition but it would make a lovely saucer for a plant- which is what it was probably used for in a previous life. ...
